I view the therapeutic relationship as an alliance in which we journey
together to bring about the change you want in your life. I approach
therapy based on your needs. After an initial assessment, I will
collaborate with you to develop goals that are meaningful and
important to you.
Some people are looking for short term, solution focused therapy. This type of counseling focuses on resolving a specific problem, such as decreasing arguing with a loved one or improving communication skills, and typically lasts anywhere from 5 to 10 sessions. Some people are interested in more in-depth, long term counseling. Recovering from abuse or neglect, for example, would require more long term counseling, as would learning to cope with a serious psychiatric disorder.
